This beaded piece made by Beading Hearts is a labor of precision and determination—these Pacific Northwest Indigenous earrings were stitched bead by bead over the course of five and a half focused hours, inspired by traditional basket weave patterns and “chuck chahko pe klatawa” translates to the coming and going of the tides. 

Beading Hearts uses only the highest quality materials for their flatstitch beadwork, using sterling silver, abalone shell disks, glass miyuki delica beads and ethically-sourced buckskin leather from local hunters/artists in Okanogan, Washington.

This is slow fashion rooted in Indigenous artistry: timeless, sacred.
