The “Ripple Effect” beaded earrings are the result of over 23 hours of careful beadwork, combining tradition with a fresh new take. Each layer is stitched by hand using deep ruby red glass beads, a sturdy Pellon beading foundation, soft buckskin leather backing, and finished with steel metal findings and sterling silver earring hooks.
The design honors Pacific Northwest Tradition while offering a personal interpretation that reflects both heritage and creativity. Every stitch was made with intention, patience and love.
The Ripple Effect was inspired by the ancient traditional Pacific Northwest pattern that has many names. An elder once described it to me as the movement of water. When you drop an object into the water, the surface creates a ripple effect. The larger the object, the larger the effect.
Because each pair is made entirely by hand by one person, no two pairs will ever be exactly the same — making this a truly one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.
